What is Fairfood?
Fairfood is an international non-profit campaign and lobby organisation, which prompts the food and beverage industry to make its production and trade more sustainable. In this way Fairfood contributes to the fight against hunger and poverty across the globe.
Campaign & Lobby
The Campaign & Lobby department is responsible for selling the Fairfood message to four different target groups: food and beverage brand owners; food and beverage resellers (like restaurants or caterers); politicians and consumers in the Netherlands as well as abroad. Furthermore, the Campaign & Lobby department is responsible for strengthening Fairfood's base. These projects are led by five paid project leaders, each with the help of two to four unpaid project assistants.
The Project Resellers
The project’s main objective is to encourage resellers to enlarge the sustainability of their assortment. Resellers are amongst others: caterers, company restaurants, restaurants, schools and associations. Through sustainable procurement Fairfood and the resellers show brand owners there is a market for sustainable products.
What are the responsibilities of the Project Assistant Resellers?
- Responsible for the planning and execution of the different strategies of the project;
- To develop a policy to encourage resellers to procure sustainable products;
- To set up a cooperation between Fairfood and different types of resellers;
- To maintain contact with different types of resellers (via e-mail or telephone);
- Possibility to do research.

Qualifications
- Minimal higher education (HBO) working- and thinking level
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch (and English)
- Able to work well both independently and within a team
- Affinity with Fairfood’s goals
- Knowledge of corporate sustainability is a plus
