Fairfood staff

At Fairfood we work with paid and unpaid staff. As a foundation, we have a limited budget, so only the managers and project leaders are paid. All in all, 24 paid staff currently work at Fairfood. In addition, we work with a lot of unpaid staff. You can for instance do your work placement with us, or research a (graduate) thesis. Broadening your horizon, which in turn may increase your job opportunities, is of course also an option.

And if you just feel like donating some of your time to help us out, you are of course also more than welcome. In any of our positions you’ll be helping to expand the young and rapidly growing organisation that is Fairfood!

Project team

At Fairfood you’ll be in charge of making your own mark, whether it be through research or by organising a specific activity. You’ll be working in a project team of 2 to 4 people, in which you’ll be given your own set of tasks to help you carry out the project. This team is led by the project leader. You’ll be given a lot of freedom to carry out your tasks, so a certain degree of independence is appreciated. Of course you’ll receive the necessary support and guidance from the project leader. Travel expenses, and other expenses which may occur, will be paid. Fairfood also offers every member of staff a tasty and enjoyable lunch.

Possibilities with Fairfood

We expect our unpaid staff to stay with us for a minimum of 3 months and to work at least 16 hours per week. This is the (minimum) amount of time you’ll need to realise your responsibilities. Besides this, you’ll be the first to know when paid positions become available, and we’ll encourage you to grow within Fairfood. It’s also good to know that we’ll be going international in the near future, which might hold a future for you. All of this means that we have a regular progression of staff. Supporters

In addition to staff who work mainly in the office, a lot of work is done all over the country by supporters. Supporters go to festivals and events, collect petitions and/or work as guest speakers or shoppers.
