Fairfood reveals alarming abuses in the tomato sector

It reveals that the majority of Moroccan tomato pickers are women and that they generally do not earn more than five to eight euros perday, while they need at least 15 euros for their family to make ends meet. The tomatoes they pick are sold in European supermarkets, including Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
