The Campaign and Lobby department of Fairfood is currently recruiting a:

Project Assistant Consumers

  • Unpaid position
  • 16-32 hours a week

Campaign & Lobby
The Campaign & Lobby department is responsible for selling the Fairfood message to four different target groups: food and beverage brand owners; food and beverage resellers (like restaurants or caterers); politicians and consumers in the Netherlands as well as abroad. Furthermore, the Campaign & Lobby department is responsible for strengthening Fairfood's base. These projects are led by five paid project leaders, each with the help of two to four unpaid project assistants.

What are the responsibilities of the Project Assistant Consumers?
The goal of the Project Consumers is to activate people when it comes to the fairness of their shopping behavior in the supermarket. Consumers will be activated in a direct and playful way, and the project will be executed locally (in different regions of the country). As Project Assistant Consumers you are responsible for a further extension, execution and testing of all the different strategies of the project. You will process these experiences and evaluate the results. Part of an internship could be research to find out what the best way is to activate consumers. All this in cooperation with the Project Leader Consumers.

Your tasks are among others:

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of the different strategies to activate consumers.
  • To think about ways to find out whether the different strategies are achievable and the results are satisfying.
  • To develop different concepts of the strategies based on the evaluations.
  • To organise and coordinate different strategies. For example by using time management, making an itinerary, arranging supporters and material, and/or taking care of logistics.

Qualifications

  • HBO (higher education)/University degree
  • Experience in organizing
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch and preferably English
  • Able to work well both independently and within a team
  • Affinity with Fairfood’s goals
  • Hands on mentality

What do we offer?
A versatile position in an enthusiastic and fun team. We do not pay you any wages or allowances. However we offer you a free lunch and reimburse travel expenses. For Fairfood, unpaid employees are equally important as paid employees. They receive the same employee accompaniment (e.g. progress meetings) and the same possibilities as paid employees.
